Jane Deterding — Jane Deterding Chairman
About Jane

Jane Deterding

A fourth-generation banker at CBK, Jane’s ties to banking started at an early age. She currently serves as Chairman of the Board, with other roles including General Counsel. She is a graduate of Wichita State University, where she earned a BBA in finance and economics, and the University of Kansas School of Law.
Jane joined CBK full time in 2001 after a decade in private law practice. Jane serves as a Commissioner on the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission and is involved with Wichita Animal Action League, Wichita Chamber of Commerce, and Wichita Area Delta Gamma Alumnae, among other interests. Jane and her husband, Brent Lehner, have two adult children and live in western Sedgwick County with their four rescue dogs.

Mark Keeny

Mark Keeny joined the CBK family in 1986 with his marriage to the banker’s daughter, Amy Deterding. A graduate of the University of Kansas and the Graduate School of Banking, Mark considers his time as a Financial Examiner with the Office of State Banking Commission pivotal to his success as a banker. After four years of examining banks, Mark joined the family bank in 1993 and has served in various roles in the bank, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director. Mark serves as a Director of Cars for Charities in Wichita and is a member of Kingman Rotary.
Mark’s family includes his son Sam, daughter Sarah (an Accounting Analyst at CBK), her husband Thomas, and darling granddaughter. He also enjoys pickleball, outdoor activities, and collecting classic cars.

Kyle Russell

Kyle Russell was born and raised on a fourth-generation family farm near Winfield, Kansas. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and the Graduate School of Banking — later serving as Trustee, Chairman, and Executive Development Institute Mentor for that organization.
Kyle began his banking career in 1985 with The State Bank in Winfield. In 1993, he joined Verus Bank (then First National Bank) in Derby, Kansas, serving for 25 years as President, Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors. With the 2019 merger with Citizens Bank of Kansas, Kyle became President and a Director of CBK. Professional banking organizations include the Kansas Bankers Association, Kansas/Nebraska Schools of Banking Advisory Committee, and RMA. Community involvement includes Rotary, Derby Education Foundation, Derby Public Schools, United Way of the Plains, City of Derby Task Forces, Derby Chamber of Commerce, and First Presbyterian Church of Derby.
Kyle and his wife of more than 37 years, Debbie, have three children and five grandchildren. Kyle’s hobbies include boating and water sports, golf, and moonlighting as a local baseball PA announcer.

Susan Thompson

Susan Thompson began her career in banking right out of college. Susan has worked in all banking areas and serves as CBK’s Chief Operations Officer. Her love of numbers and the ability to streamline processes and procedures make Susan a good fit for leading CBK’s central operations center. Susan attended Western States School of Banking in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management.
Susan serves as the Treasurer of the Derby Lions Club and volunteers with the Derby Community Foundation. In her spare time, Susan and her husband Mike operate a small business selling antiques.

Stacy Gear

Our unofficial head cheerleader, Stacy Gear has been supporting TeamCBK one way or another since 2005, when she provided strategic planning and executive coaching. In 2014, Stacy joined the staff of CBK as Chief Development Officer. Stacy assists with organizational transitions and succession, guides leadership development, and leads the Human Resources Department for CBK. Stacy earned her undergraduate degree from Avila University in Kansas City, and she holds an MBA from Wichita State University.
Stacy is a certified trainer for the Process Communication Model (PCM) assessment tool. She is active in her community, serves on the USD 263 Board of Education, and is a mentor to other professional women in the community. Stacy lives in Mulvane and can be found supporting her two active children.

Sid Graber

Sid Graber began his banking career in October 1997 with The State Bank of Pretty Prairie. In October 1998, Citizens Bank of Kansas purchased The State Bank, and Sid has been with CBK ever since. He serves as the Chief Credit Officer and Community Bank President in Pretty Prairie. Sid graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in mechanical engineering and attended the Graduate Schools of Banking.
Sid served on the KBA/Kansas Ag Bankers Division’s board, holding the office of President in 2014. Other involvement includes Pretty Prairie Community Association, The Booster Club, and leadership roles in their church.
Sid and his wife Gayle reside on the family farm near Pretty Prairie, which Sid manages in his spare time. Sid and Gayle have two adult children. (His son Jared is a loan officer at CBK.)

Ben Drouhard

A Wichita native, Ben Drouhard serves as Community Bank President in Wichita and the Senior Real Estate Officer at CBK. Ben received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University. His community service includes the Wichita Rotary Club, the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Kansas, and the Wichita Rotary Charitable Fund. Ben is a member of the American and Kansas Bankers Association and serves on the Kansas Bankers Association (KBA) State Affairs Committee.
He is actively involved with the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in a variety of roles. Ben lives in College Hill near the East Wichita branch with his wife Laura; they have three children and one grandson. Ben enjoys traveling and hiking with Laura, playing golf, and reading.

Kristin Marr

Kristin Marr serves as the Director of Retail Operations for CBK, overseeing operations for all branches as well as digital and marketing departments. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned a BA in communication with a minor in business. Kristin joined CBK in 2021 with 10 years in the banking industry. She serves on the Wichita Parks Foundation board.
Kristin and her husband Jake live in Augusta with their three children.

About Jim

Jim Brunsell

Jim Brunsell is the newest addition to the CBK Leadership team, joining CBK in July 2023 as Deputy Chief Technology Officer. Jim has nearly three decades of experience in the information technology field, during which he has developed, implemented, and supported technology solutions in a variety of industries including construction, legal, medical, and retail.
For the past 15 years, his focus has been infrastructure and information security within the banking industry. Jim graduated from Derby High School, after living in Germany while his father served in the Air Force. Jim attended Wichita State University and lives with his German shepherd in Wichita, where he enjoys home improvement projects, woodworking, and refurbishing antiques.
