CBK Collecting Donations for Family Crisis Centers

During the month of April, Citizens Bank of Kansas will collect donations for family crisis centers in support of Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2024. The National Sexual Violence Resource Center organizes the event -- this year’s theme is Building Connected Communities.

“Sexual violence impacts every community, even small Kansas towns,” said Jane Deterding, Chairman of Citizens Bank of Kansas. “Statistics show 53% of women and 29% of men reported sexual violence in their lifetime. By participating in the Sexual Assault Awareness Month, CBK hopes to increase community understanding of this global problem.”

The crisis centers suggest donations of basic hygiene items for adults and children including shampoo, deodorant, combs, brushes, and feminine hygiene products. Donations from this campaign will benefit the following crisis centers:

  • Sedgwick County
  • Wichita Family Crisis Center
  • Reno & Kingman Counties
  • BrightHouse
  • Butler County
  • Family Life Center
  • Barber County
  • Family Crisis Center
